This compelling and powerful Roots music artist has won awards for her unique singing and songwriting, and her passionate, moving performances, on stage, and on her CD “Radience and Fire”. Nanci is well known for her beautiful duets with Emmylou Harris on this country legend’s Christmas CD, “Light of the Stable”.  Emmylou recorded one of Nanci's best-loved songs, "Root Like A Rose" on her "Roses In The Snow" CD.  

Nanci has appeared at major music festivals throughout Canada, as solo artist, as lead vocalist in the acoustic group Stringband, and in venues and clubs in Toronto, Halifax, and Vancouver. She has composed and performed for film, TV, and theatre, including documentaries, videos, clown theatre productions, and created a collection of original children’s songs.

Won the regional final of the all-Maritimes Startrack Talent contest and Best Song Award for “Someday Someone” from her CD “Radience and Fire”. Halifax, NS 

Co-wrote children’s songs with Gordon Henderson, Co-Producer of the Canadian History TV series; performed them at the Governor-General’s residence for Children’s Book Festival. Toronto and Ottawa, ON
